Officer Declarations

For the upcoming April 23, 2024 Hidalgo County 4-H Council Officer Declarations, the Hidalgo County 4-H Program will be accepting declarations via virtual form in addition to in person declarations on April 23, 2024. Those intending to declare will have from April 1, 2024 until April 16, 2024 to submit their entry. If for any reason you should have issues declaring virtually, you will have the opportunity to declare with one of the advising County Extension Agents prior to the start of our April 23, 2024 County Council 4-H Meeting. Please review the eligibility requirements to run for office as well as their respective responsibilities. For the May 28, 2024 County Council 4-H Meeting it is encouraged to create a poster board with your name, officer title you are seeking to obtain, list of community service, leadership, 4-H projects and photos to share with your fellow peers at our first Hidalgo County 4-H Election Convention!

***ONCE YOU HAVE DECLARED THERE WILL BE NO REVISIONS OR CHANGES OF OFFICE POSITION ALLOWED.

 

IT IS IMPORTANT TO KNOW THE ELIGIBILITY, EXPECTATIONS AND DUTIES OF THE OFFICE BEFORE DECLARATIONS.

Eligibility to vote:

a. Enrolled member of the Hidalgo County 4-H Program

b. Must have attended three (3) meetings, excluding the May meeting.

 

Eligibility to run for office:

a. Enrolled member of the Hidalgo County 4-H Program

b. Have attended four (4) meetings prior to the election, excluding the May meeting.
